"AI Marketing Frontier Vol.3" Event Report — Sessions & table discussions on marketing in the AI agent era
REHATCH Inc. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Ryota Sakoda) held its offline event "AI Marketing Frontline—A Gathering of Operating-Company Marketers: A Night of Real-World Case Studies" at Colony#3 in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. "AI Marketing Frontline" is a closed offline event offered exclusively to marketers at operating companies. Following the first installment (February 13, 2026), which shared candid real-world case studies, and the second (March 27, 2026), a themed networking gathering, this third installment evolved into a format of "two sessions plus two table discussions." Roughly 100 operating-company marketers registered to attend.
Background to the Event
As rapid advances in AI technology expand the use of AI on the marketing front lines, many still say they don't know how it is actually being used in practice, or how to embed AI into their work.
The event was designed around the awareness that "the way we engage with AI is shifting from the era of chat to the era of agents." Through two sessions and two table discussions, all participants explored in depth how to implement an always-on agent foundation in day-to-day marketing.
Program of the Day
- 19:00–19:15 Doors open and registration
- 19:15–19:25 Opening (setting the stage and outlining the timeline)
- 19:25–19:40 Session 1: "Beyond Conversational AI—Marketing in the Era of Always-On Agents"
- 19:40–20:00 Table Discussion 1
- 20:00–20:10 Break and networking
- 20:10–20:25 Session 2: "Implementing Memory / Skills / Automation in Day-to-Day Marketing" + ENSOR introduction
- 20:25–20:45 Table Discussion 2
- 20:45–20:50 Survey
- 20:50–21:30 Open networking and mingling
Session 1: "Beyond Conversational AI—Marketing in the Era of Always-On Agents"
Speaker: Gen Yamazaki (COO, REHATCH Inc.)
Yamazaki pointed out that the state many marketers fall into—explaining everything to a chat AI from scratch every time—is itself a sign of hitting a ceiling. He explained that AI is evolving from something that "answers" into something that "works" (an AI worker), and that an always-on agent foundation equipped with memory, skill-building, and automated execution will bring a revolution to marketing work.
The session closed with a message shared across the venue: "Making the most of AI in marketing is not about eliciting one clever answer, but about building a system that keeps learning."
Table Discussion 1
Building on Session 1, participants deepened the discussion at each table around the following themes.
- "What work in your job do you repeat the same way every week? What might change if an agent were introduced there?"
- "In your team, which tasks do you use AI for continuously, and which are still done manually every time? Where do you think that difference comes from?"
Many "tasks repeated every week"—reporting, creative production, data aggregation, and more—came up regardless of industry, and participants candidly exchanged views on the barriers that stand in the way of continuous AI use.
Session 2: "Implementing Memory / Skills / Automation in Day-to-Day Marketing"
Speaker: Seima Matsufuji (REHATCH Inc.)
Building on the concept of a "system that keeps learning" presented by Yamazaki in Session 1, Matsufuji explained a concrete methodology for implementation. He introduced an approach to creating reproducibility through a three-layer structure of Memory × Skills (templatization) × Automation, and argued that "designing it as a system" is the key to breaking free from dependence on individuals. In the latter half, he introduced ENSOR, a product that implements these three layers specifically for creative production.
Table Discussion 2
- "How does your team's creative production run today, and where is the bottleneck?"
- "If a 'creative mass-production agent' were introduced into your current system, which step do you think would change the most?"
Strained designer resources, direction that depends on individuals, and slow PDCA cycles came up consistently across the tables, developing into an implementation discussion of "where to insert an agent."
What Participants Said (average satisfaction 3.9 out of 5)
- "I was able to sort out the difference between 'chat AI' and 'agent AI,' and it became clear what our company is missing."
- "Hearing the realities at other companies during the table discussions was the biggest takeaway. I was surprised how common the challenges were."
- "The sessions and discussions were linked, and I appreciated a design that didn't end with just listening."
